backdown on european weights lbs can stay

i just heard on the news that the european whatever has said that its not ilegal to use lbs and onces...
so does that mean all those people wh had to buy a new weighing scales.... in kgs now can claim back the expense of it..?
to late for us.. as now our shop has closed... but i can remember.. there was nothing wrong with our good old lb and onces weighing scales.... but we had to change it by law...... but now the law has said we can go back to using lbs and onces....
if i remember rightly the scales cost a few hundred pounds which to be honest we could not afford... but had to by..
just a thought for people which are still in business, and had to change their scales.....
if i got the wrong end of the stick so to speak about this ruling.. sorry....
