Sunday already. Last week was manic and I felt out of control it was hurtling by so fast. I don't like it when it's like this. I've totally lost the plot with the September Scrimping challenge but am climbing back on board for the final week.
So as last week went totally off plan, I've come up with a different way of looking at how I divide my budget up and in theory it's doable. 50% of income for bills and food, 30% for holidays and spends, 20% savings. All the monies come in next week so can make a fresh start. Need to do my finances later and square up the cc.
Yesterday had my hair cut then DS and family came and we went to a craft fair at the local pub. There were some lovely craft tables to keep the kids quiet and DGD had a ball making masks and Chistmas cards. DGS just tried to eat everything! Shame about the stalls though, nothing worth buying. Hardly anyone turned up and I did feel for them as the organiser was so enthusiastic.
Just hope my Macmillan coffee morning I'm organising at work on Friday goes better.
The plan for today is paint the bedroom ceiling, meal plan, do finances, clean upstairs, take dog on park and have a NSD.
Have a fab day everyoneI get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Morning SA,
I totally can't even believe that we are almost at the end of September already . Will be 2018 before we know it.
Sounds like a nice chilled weekend for you, enjoy today and I hope next week slows down a bit xxMummytogirls x0 -
Here's to the shiny new budget plan!
You've a busy day ahead of you so I'll leave you alone!:D

The ceiling is painted, looks a bit patchy though so might need another cost. Mr SA thinks it'll look better when it's dry. He has just shuffled through the house with the paint tray dripping paint everywhere en route to the garden to hose it out  Drips on my brand new expensive kitchen floor - luckily wiped up. He is so clumsy!
The dog's been on the park and I've done my finances ready for payday. There won't be any saving going off as need to clear off M&s card used to buy euros for Ibiza which will then be used again to buy euros for Lanzarote. Should be all square by November though.
Really need to get my Autumn/winter clothes out of the storage box this afternoon, it's that time again!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0 -
Glad the ceiling is done, (it can look patchy while it's wet) and that the paint drips came off the floor  My DH has got some paint drips on our kitchen floor and he doesn't have an excuse

Summer clothes put away, apart from the ones I'm taking on holiday. Winter clothes out
Some things have gone in the charity bag, some in the bin.
Even though the bed was piled high with clothes, Mr SA annoyingly insisted on getting in it to watch TV, which made an easy job much more difficult than it should have been.
Putting my feet up with a coffee for a bit then have to make my soup for work lunches, do the ironing, clean upstairs then take the dog out again.

It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.
