Argos Cash Back!!!!!!!

As I live a long way away from superstores or in fact any shops where I can buy reasonbly priced ink cartridges I accessed our nearest Argos site to look up availability and as they only had a couple in stock at a cost in excess of £53 I reserved them and in doing so I noticed across the middle of the page in red it said I could get £15 back on my next purchase great I thought.... I clicked on this and a page came up asking me to put in my details including my credit card details, no problem I thought I had purchased items with Argos before using my credit card without any problems. What was not made clear was that I had put my details on to a page of a company called Webloyalty. After a report on television about a similar thing happening to someone else I went into my emails I found to my horror an email from Webloyalty saying I had signed up and even more shocking that after 30 days I would be paying £10 per month. To cut a long story of calling Argos and my bank, I then called Webloyalty cancelled my so called membership and cut up my credit card. Argos did say they weren't doing anything illegal.......is deceit illegal.
Oh and I must add Argos did ask if I had read the small print and my answer was, as I had not been given any indication that I was signing up to another company why would I question Argos a company I have been dealing with for years.

This is becoming standard now. A lot of Internet companies have a £10 off your next order advert after checkout.
As with everything nobody gives you anything for free so you really need to read the small print before you sign up to anything! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

The big warning to take from this is:
Whenever anyone wants your credit card details to get something that is supposedly 'free' be very, very suspicious. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0
