Capital One Review

Hi,
I have just applied online for a Capital One Classic Extra card and when it came to the reviewing application page where it says it will give a decision, it told me their team are reviewing my application and they will be back to me in 7 days... I thought here, I would get an accepted or declined decision, so I was just wondering, as my application wasn't declined there and then, would it be a sign that I will probably be accepted?

The only way you can find out is to give them a ring tomorrow. I applied for capital one classic last year online and got approved instantly. I didn't have any credit card before, so I was over the moon. Since then, I had been waiting for the card to arrive very patiently for a week ( I was told that the card will be with me within next 5-7 working days ) but it never turned up.
So i decided to ring their customer service and to my great surprise that my application has been rejected. They could not even be bothered to send a letter to me.

Thanks! Just been approved for a Barclaycard so might just cancel the Cap1 application (or I might keep it, may help my credit score) Not too bad for my first ever application and it will be really good use! Shame mybarclaycard is unavailable so I can see my credit limit! Given you thanks for the help!

Was it the Barclaycard Initial you applied for?

Yes it was- One of the few a first-timer can apply for I think

Heard back and been approved for both Capital One and Barclaycard, so really happy that I have a card to help build my credit history
