Which Baby Signing Franchise Is Best?

Hi,
I'm thinking about taking on a franchise in babysigning, but the more I look into it the more confused I am, as there are so many different classes out there now (although none in my area) which all seem to be teaching the same thing. I was therefore wondering if there was anyone out there who had experience of any of these classes and could tell me which they enjoyed and why, or even someone who has took on a franchise and could give me the benefit of there experience.
Many Thanks

Hi
I did Tiny Talk classes with my eldest (now 2) and it seems to be a great organisation with lots of support for franchisees, lots of products & a really fun class structure. Let me know if you want to know more!

This seems a really good place for baby signing http://www.chelltune.co.uk
I know that it isn't a franchise but for anybody who wanted to do signing with their child.0 -
Have you thought about setting up your own group? The franchises are very expensive.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

As chelltune said, consider setting up on your own. The money you save can be spent on other things for the business, or you'll be able to afford to undercut the opposition.0

Franchises are only worth the money if it is a househould name, Burger King, O'Briens etc
Personally I haven't heard of any of these names, so if I was looking for your services I wouldn't use you because you were a well known name.
You often find that franchisees want to sell their business after knowing how to run it because they find it's so easy to do, and they gain nothing from the franchisor.
By all means talk to franchisors and franchisees to gain knowledge about the market but perhaps you should think about setting up on your own without the help of a franchisorNo Links in signatures by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
Hi
I looked into this and TBH none of the big companies seemed that great. TBH they couldn't care less that although I had difficulty singing (I have a slight hearing impairement and slur a little) I could actually use BSL. also one wanted £10k for the franchise for town!!! Now I run a signing choir at a school (1 hour for free) and they let me run a baby sign club (no room hire just have to pay for squash). Classes from the franchise lady cost £10 a session, mine cost £2. Her classes are running almost empty and mine have a waiting list.Proud to be sorting my life out!
2007 YouGov £7.50
2007 Pigsback £10.45
2007 MT Credits 28
2007 Credit union £100 :j0 -

Same here, I have level three BSL. I applied for one franchise, I admitted that I can't sing and that particular group didn't want to know.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

Most parents will have heard of Tinytalk or Sing and Sign and perhaps Baby Signers. Less known are Sign and Bond and Talkfirst, these two are run by Deaf/hearing impaired Mums.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0
