Ah didn't see it I'll try to delete!

Doesn't look like I can. Oh well I think it's a good rate so double the chance of people seeing it!

anyone ever tried just dumping the full £3600 into the savings account in the first month?

I did it with a barclays "similar" deal - it was supposed to be £25 - £250 per month - i opened it with £250 and then the next month i just transferred £2750 straight into it to see what would happen - they wouldn't let me put any extra in the next month - it wouldn't even appear in my "account to transfer to" box on the online banking system - but they paid the full interest and on the full amount every month for a year! (the interest was paid monthly so i could see it).

    anyone tried it here?

i'd have one if i could do this - i can't be bothered shifting cash around every month for such a small additional return to be honest.

the problem is - with an account that only pays interest annually, as this one does, you won't find out for a year!

gkerr I don't think that would work. I tried to change the date from 29th (date I opened it in Jan) to 3rd, so money would be in there almost a month longer but they wouldn't let me amend/cancel. BTW although payment not taken till 1st March have been told this will be ok and no issues with another deposit in March. Computer clever enough to work out why apparently ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Maybe... But I should imagine they'll covered this kind of loop-hole in the terms and conditions.

The FD Reg Saver works by a standing order from the FD 1st account monthly, on the anniversary of the opening date of the saver account. No other deposit mechanisms permitted.

No more than a running total of £300 max per month. i.e. max £300 in the first month; if you credit less than that in month 1, you can pay any amount up to a balance of £600 in month 2, and so on. But no other deposits - you just amend the SO amount on a monthly basis if you wish.
