  • I wanted 2 of these monitors, and so I asked if they had any in stock, and they only had one brand new, so i said i would have that one, and the display one if they did a discount. I got one for £99 and the other at 5% off with no speakers for £94.

This means that they are not all display models, in the menu i have looked and it has only been run for 10 hours, the display one had been run for 5000 hours, not a problem as there is a fully 12 month warrenty with them both :-)

The main cable is a standard pc mains cable, and there is a transformer it plugs into. They werent sure if it was a pricing error to start with, but the manager was happy to sell for the discounted price when queried.

Hope this helps to clear things up.

Yes I'd have liked a pair as well since I'm looking at replacing a 21" CRT.

Re the mains lead - I was just told it was missing - I asked if it was just a standard PC "kettle" lead and they said "No, it's 'special' but they will order one"
Perhaps it's the transformer that's missing.

Re usage times - since I've yet to see one turned on and working (and I would obviously like to know how many hours it has got under its belt) how do you get this info from the OSD menu ?
Is it obvious? (Just incase there is no manual or instructions with it)

I would like to know how long it's been on as well - just picked mine up and it is the XD model so got it for £90. Got all the cables, and it does have a transformer, not just a kettle lead, but no box, manuals or driver disc. I believe the speakers are built in (and therefore crap).
Is it a plug and play model?

Don't forget you have a 14 day money back guarentee if you change your mind :-).

Forget the bit about speakers, they are seperate, mine didn't come with any, so I've rung and I'm getting another £10 off.

    It just keeps getting cheaper!!

wow i would have rather had the £10 than the speakers as mine are in the box.....100 times worse than my 6 year old Yamahas.

re: the power cable...yes the monitor should come with a transformer....mines been on for 4400 hours....but is in mint condition and looks as though its never been out of a box!

Mine has been on for 283 hours, not bad for XD. Problem is that there is a rolling shadow I can't shift regardless screen res, refresh rate, drivers, so it may be a faulty unit. Gonna try it at a friends house to see if the 'noise' is from my PC or if it's the TFT.

Note, I have an integarted graphics chip, so it could be related to that. I have noticed that the 'noise' gets worse when the CPU is working harder. Any techies out there care to offer any advice?

press the menu button, then using the +/- buttons (all just below the display) scroll down to information. It's in there.
