Child care Grant and full time brick uni

Options
I've just had it confirmed today that i will get m full three ears "re-funded" to me to be able to stud the teacher training degree that wanted to do.
There is only one snag though. I apparently wouldn't be entitled to any childcare grant whatsoever because m husband earns too much.
He earns £25, 560 PA. We have 3 children. The eldest of which will be starting full time school in September. The youngest two (2 year old twins) will need child care of some sort. Full time in the nursery will be £300 a week with the sibling discount. Now I know that Ill get some maintenance grant and adult learning grant, and my husband and i are quite happy to use that to pa for the childcare if needs be. But I really was hoping we would get something towards the cost of childcare for them.
We have a mortgage and other outgoings which apparently get taken into account.
Mortgage £486 pm
House Insurance £150 PA
Council Tax £1000 PA
Life Insurance £13 PM
Not sure what else is taken into consideration...

Can you bring your husband's declarable wage down through salary sacrifice? Did you run an advanced search? I feel this has been covered before but it's only a vague memory so I can't be specific.

Childcare vouchers seem to be the obvious one ........... sounds like you've got a good deal with 6 years of HE paid for though.

Not really too sure what you are asking for though-if the calculator says you won't get childcare ?????

You might find a charitable trust that might give you a small contribution for childcare but most are oversubscribed and you need to apply very early.

    - Have you factored in the parent's learning allowance, and any bursary from the university?

    - You'll get single person discount on council tax

    - Hate to say it, as it sounds rather like gaming the system, but could your husband work part time so that you become eligible for the childcare grant, and have some free childcare from him?
