help needed please - in text advertising platform problem

Hi I wonder if anone could help please?
I downloaded open office last week and seem to have also downloaded something called giant savings. This highlights texts in web pages and when I hover mouse over I get a picture advert asking to 'click here' - might not be that teccy but not that stupid :rotfl:
Anyway, I found the giant savings extension and deleted it, but it hasn't solved the problem, so I now have clicked as I can't get rid of the thing and it has taken me to a site called in text advertising.
Please does anyone know how I can permanently remove this ruddy thing off my pc?

Hi I tried installing the above as advised, but it won't download, getting message stating insufficient permissions.
Any advice please?

Download the file and save it to your hard drive first.

Then right click adwcleaner.exe and choose Run as Administrator

I'm running windows 8 and can't see that option at all when I click to install
sorry am not at all techie and windows 8 is carp lol
when I say install I mean it hasn't even downloaded

managed to download it and now have a list of files in notepad,
but absolutely no idea what to do next

I've looked at the instructions on the adw cleaner and it says just to click the delete button on the adware download, but some of the programme files look like windows files?
