I bought this meal deal yesterday and thought it was great even without replacing the sides. Its a bit confusing as the starters are only pate and italian salami selection, and you can actually take 2 packs of these so I got 2 packs salami @£2.60 each, turkey £5, cheesecake £3.49. potatoes £4 and veg £3.60 total £21.29 - £11.29 = £10. If you don't like pate or salami, then at least you've got the option of more veg ! My tesco.com didn't have the sides for some reason.

The M&S one isn't that much different from their dine in for two for a tenner really just the side is bigger. I think my wine worked out as being free and everything else came to 21p less than it usually would be. Seeing as I don't (actually can't) drink and Mr Shoe rarely bothers I end up donating it to the wine stall at one of our school fayres or give it away as it mounts up with the meal deals I always think are a bargain.
Why not go for the non alcoholic option then?0 -

The m&s meal deal is not like the normal £10 weekend offer, I got roast beef £12.73, wine £6.99, large potatoes £3.49 and a lemon tart which is massive and says feeds 6, (not in this house) £4.49. The food is a lot larger than the £10 offer and would defo feed four.0

it really annoys me that the wine makes up so much of the total "value" of the deal. We don't drink and the non-alcoholic options are usually pretty vile and a lot cheaper anyway. I'd rather they let me have another portion of veg instead to be honest.Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Meal deal not workiing at ALL!! Just tried with 4 sides, main and desert didn't go thru, so went to CS, they didn't realise at 1st that I had got the wrong items and just thought I had picked up something not in the deal....:cool:
