Has anyone else discovered that viewing yahoo emails via chrome can be a pain. By that I mean that almost every time I click on something ie delete, it fails. Yet using IE it works like a dream.
Because Chrome is my preferred browser, if I open my emails and see there are a few, it is quicker to minimize and open IE and do all that I need from there.

Oh, didn't appreciate that. Trouble is I have had my yahoo email donkeys years and could not imagine changing it. It's all very well saying (which you haven't), notify all those in your address book, but there are a great many who email me who are not in it.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I was making a, feeble, joke, there is no reason why Yahoo mail should not work with the Chrome browser AFAIK.
My Sky email, that I don't use much will be moving over to Yahoo in a month or so, until then maybe someone else has the same issue.
As an aside when I moved my main email account to Gmail, I set it to collect my old ISPs emails, then as they came in I reply with my new email details. Bit of a fag though.

!!!!! to yahoo is your best bet, as i would guess they have broken parts of there site to get it to work with older versions of internet explorer. You can add your yahoo account to a gmail account and manage all your emails from there0

If I have understood that right, if I open/create a gmail account, somehow my yahoo emails could be diverted to it with no change of email address?
What a silly old fool am I? I already have a gmail email account which I never use, but strangely enough there were pages of emails, mostly MSE emails, so I must have used that email address when I registered and wondered why they never arrived !
Because I have a google calender constantly open, it means my email page is also constantly open. This is something I don't want, so how do I get round this?
Next, how would I glean the yahoo emails to read in gmail? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

OK, I have done that, almost, but it dosen't seem to accept the password I use in yahoo & IE, see:-
Could not validate this combination of email address and password. If you are sure that your password is correct, sign in to your other mail provider to confirm and complete any necessary captchas or image verification tests and then try the import again.
PLUS, each time I visit google for mail or calender, my username and password are filled in (asterisks for PW) and all that is needed to be done is click on enter and that is something I don't want. This is a system account and does not represent a real person.
