Asda price guarantee, has it changed?

I have just done an online check of my Asda receipt and its not the first time I have done it. Early last year I got a voucher every time I checked as it wasn't ever 10% cheaper and when checking the individual comparison link under each rival supermarket almost every item was included.
I have noticed this time that on a £49 shopping bill they consider £2.12 difference to be more than 10%.
They do this by eliminating all the items which are the same price thus lowering the total spend to below £20. So the claim that "the bill will be 10% cheaper" is incorrect.
Has anyone else noticed this?:mad::mad:

  • I'd say it's been like that for a good 12 months. One thing to do with it is if you know items are cheaper at Asda buy them on a separate transaction otherwise they'll lessen the gap and will reduce the overall 10% difference.
