    Mortgage-free Glee!
Meal planning, half a tablet for the dishwasher and mixing washing powder with soda crystals are the three I've really now taken to myself. But the enjoyment of just reading loads of the excellent posts on a variety of subjects can't be beaten! Thanks everyone!

:T What a great idea for a thread!

For me, it's a complete way of life change, made up of all the little things.

White vinegar, bicarb, stardrops, microfibre cloths, soda crystals

    Meal planning

Not throwing food away - there's always someone with a tip about what to do with a dying veg.!

Using half the washing powder, using a small squirt of wul

Shampooing once only - rinse and repeat - what genius marketing!!

Shopping at Lidl, making good use of BOGOFs/RFQs

    Using breadmaker/slowcooker

    Recipes

    Freecycle

    Stain removal

    How to clean an oven

There are probably tens and tens more that are escaping me at the moment.

Old Stylers - you are all :A s!

Shopping at Netto / Aldi / Lidl

Washing at 40 degress and not 90 like I used to

Using my slow cooker and steamer

    Growing my own veg

Thinking before I spend - do I need this, and if not, don't buy

Questioning the price of everything - can I get it cheaper by shopping around
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D

Lindens - its www.mysupermarket.com you basically do an online shop through them and they tell you which out of asda, tesco, sainsburys or occado (waitrose) is the cheapest. Then you click a 'check it out' button and it tells you how you could save more money by swapping to similar items. The best one I had was choosing asdas bargain tuna at 23p a tin - when I went to 'check it out' it told me I could get John West Tuna for 19p a tin!

What are stardrops?? I'm really blessed by knowing that you lot are out there, and I'm not on my own trying to save money. I have found the daily thread very good, because it has helped saying what I hope to get done in the day. It tends to give me the motivation to get on and do it lol. I have found all the advice given on here good and interesting. Haven't tried out any of the cleaning ideas yet, but intend to :-)
