sick pay? Mixed employment

I have been advised to take a month or 2 off work. Trouble is I have a mixture of working some self-employment and some for various mystery shopping companies, some who are PAYE and some who I work for as self employed. I have looked around on this site and the benefits agency but I can't find a thing.
Help!
As things are I am going to have to take a break anyway even if I cannot get sick pay.

Sarah, I rang the DWP about SSP. I was employed p/t (PAYE) and not entitled to company sick pay (hadn't been there long enough). The rules I were told (this is in 2001) that I had to be earning more than the 'lower earnings limit' I didn't earn enough so never got anything. Incapacity Benefit was also mentioned to me but because I had not paid enough NI over the qualifying years (had packed in work to have a baby) I didn't go into the details of what qualifies you for this benefit. A google search on IB will probably tell you. Can't help on the self employed bit -sorry.
Hope you are feeling better soon. ((())))0
