I have to say that even despite this slip up they're still better than any bank I've ever been with.
I've always said it isn't as important whether or not a service you have goes wrong, but how the provider handles cases when it does.
In this case, Nationwide took on board everything I have said, reviewed my account history and agreed that they shouldn't have reported a £2,800 OD balance against a £500 limit.
I'll call them towards the close of business tomorrow to make sure they're manually updating my credit files but understand that such things may take a wee while.
I just hope no one else I have accounts with gets their CAIS feed in the mean time and gets concerned...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

It's made a massive difference! It says I have an available credit average of £0 and my used credit ratio is 140%!
You can't expect me to believe that even historical data suggesting that I was £2,300 won't have a negative effect, of course it would.
The data is wrong, and I'm not moving one millimetre until it's resolved.
I don't mind that it shows the reduced limit, and I know the third party lenders won't know if it was I or them that reduced it, I'm happy for Nationwide to report my now smaller more sensible limit, that's why I asked them to drop it back to £500 in the first place but I was only ever £0 overdrawn against the £500 limit.
They've reported OD balance from the end of Jan and OD Limit from the end of Feb as being a snapshot from the same day, if that makes sense?
The historical data will make no difference providing its recorded as "green".
It's happened with my lloyds overdraft umpteen times and its not made a slight bit of difference to me.
I understand your frustration however personally I think your making a mountain out of a molehill and being overly paranoid.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

You know what,
I think you might just be absolutely right.
I went through to do a soft search on a Nationwide loan, for £7,500 over three years it actually quoted me their advertised headline rate of 5.9% APR!
I can live with that
