Lloyds TSB Student Account Overdraft Charges

I had a look at the forums and can't see anything else on this topic, but feel free to point me in the right direction if I'm being ditsy.
I've had my Lloyds student account for the previous 3 years of study, with a £1500 interest-free and no fees overdraft limit.
Went into my local branch today to get it extended to £2000 (as I'm still studying in my 4th year), which was fine BUT although it's still interest-free, it's potentially no longer fee-free, as the pre-contract information gives the "monthly overdraft usage fee" as £6. However on the same piece of paper it also says that the "interest and fee free amount" is £2000 :S
I asked the woman who organised the overdraft extension for me (in a slightly panicked voice!) why I suddenly had fees. She looked confused, and looked up the details of the student account (which are not at all clear) and ended up saying that I would only have to pay the £6/month fee for every month I was more than £10 over £1500.
After previous dealings with Lloyds, I know the left hand doesn't always know what the right hand is doing, so to speak, so am not sure whether to trust what she says. Has anyone else been in this situation? Will I get charged £6/month if I use the full £2000? What can I do if I start getting charged on my sub-£1500 overdraft which was previously fee-free?
