Great so i moved from eon last year and today i get a phone call asking me from £58 apparently the refunded me twice. It's not my fault that that happened. Now i have just moved and i am completely strapped from cash right now. I hadn't realised i had been refunded twice. The second refund occurred in November and they want to be refunded their mistake now. My question is, is there anything i can do to delay paying them until i have the money to pay them?

Just because it's not your fault you recived money you were not entitled to does not mean you don't have to pay it back.

What have you spent this money on that was not yours???

If you explained the situation to the supplier when they called, I am sure they would have been prepared to wait until next pay/giro day to get their money back ;)

Have you asked them if you can pay at a later date or in installments? what did they say?

if they are un-cooperative raise a complaint stating that you accept there was an error but are unhappy with the demand and the timeframe to repay this

I presume it was spent on food/bills/general household expenses but as it was in November i honestly cannot recall what it was spent on. I know i will have to pay it back i am not disputing that fact my question was is there anything i can do to delay payment until i have the cash

Send them £10 on account with a covering letter offering £20/month. Don't engage in argument with them. If they say it is not enough, just send a covering letter next month with your cheque saying it is all you can afford
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

    Hi kittenmaker

I'm sorry we refunded your closing balance twice.

We'll be happy to set up a payment arrangement to help you re-pay this. Just contact us and explain the circumstances.
