Good afternoon MSE,

If someone could have a quick look at my SOA please. I would also appreciate any comments or advise please. I'm more than happy to be told off or corrected on my SOA. I will be submitting it to my examiner in a few weeks.

Aplogies for it being all over the place - I have copied and pasted it from a spread-sheet.:o

Many thanks in advance.

Do you definitely spend £180 a year on prescription glasses? That seems high - even with a strong prescription, I can get my glasses from an online wholesaler for £30 and they'll last a couple of years, which works out at less than a tenth of your annual expenditure. Is this an option for you?

The wife pays all of the utilities and food bills.

Her IPA is already set-up and running.

    Hi Tigger,

Thanks for the comments. I usually get my glasses from Boots opticians becuase I found they are one of the cheapest. I based my monthly figure on my past 6/7 years in that I find myself bying a new pair roughly every 12 months. I'm a bit of a heavy handed butter fingers with my glasses - I have broken them every time in work:o

I try not to spend more than £150 - £180 for a half decent pair - I also get my eyes tested each-time and unfortunately, they are getting worse each time!:( hence needing a new pair each year anyway.

I suppose now being BR, I really should be looking at cheaper glasses but considering the importance of them, I'm reluctant to spend pennies on cheap glasses.

Should I lower it to £10/month?

Once again. Thanks for the constructive comments.

Thanks Choccers. I too have hereditary sight issues within the family.

I will explain this and keep to my original 15/month for decent glasses and an eye test every 12 months.

Any thoughts on the rest of the SOA?
