Credit Card Protection For Secondary User

I am a secondary user on an account in my wife's name.
I am looking to buy a holiday as a surprise but am concerned whether there will be any protection should the travel agent go bust given that I am not the primary card holder.
I seem to recall that in such cases there is protection if the purchase is deemed to benefit the primary card holder which in this case it would.
Can anybody confirm this please?
Thanks

Well there would certainly be chargeback options. As far as Visa goes. Makes no diffrence who makes the purchase.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
If something is purchased by an additional cardholder, it must provide a significant benefit for the primary cardholder; a holiday to which the primary cardholder is a party comes under that definition...
