Thank you all for your reply. Of course I don't understand, I wouldn't be posting here and asking for help ...I got paid the same amount since I started work for this company- since August till December. In January I got paid less and my employers answer why was - last month December was a tax rebate. But it was the same amount as the previous months. I haven't received any letter from HMRC. And the company is in administration and I've heard some people didn't get paid last 2 months. Anyway I've got an offer for another job, so I guess I better take it. Don't want to be without my wage next month.

If the company is in administration and you are still working you will be getting paid via the administrators ?

    Have you had payslips?

If you want to leave, yes you must give notice that you want to leave.
Do you have anything outlining how much notice you have to give. ie terms etc when you first started the work.

If you give your weeks notice and they say you can leave straightaway then they must pay you for this.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

Sounds odd, any change in tax, rebate or underpayment, tends to be dealt with by changing the tax code - I got expenses refunded and HMRC increased my tax coding so my take home pay was higher, rather than it appearing as a separate line on my payslip...

I will call the HMRC tomorrow morning. I'll let you know, as I find it dodgy too. I haven't receive my payslips since my employer deducted money from my account. And he is ignoring my questions about it. Thank you all for answers

With no contract, certain things are assumed. I'd say it was one week's notice on your side. See here.
Signature removed for peace of mind
  • You will get your rebate back after few month i think you do not worry and be in touch with your HRM for taking pay slip.....

if the company is in administration you need to speak to the administrators
