How Much Could I Get For £15 at Butchers?

Depends on your butcher...mince beef is pretty cheap. Do you prefer standard (very cheap) or extra lean mince (more expensive)? Chicken breast is quite expensive. Do you prefer free range chicken (very expensive) or barn raised chicken (cheaper version)? Do you prefer standard grain fed chicken (cheaper) or corn fed chicken (more expensive)? Pies are expensive. You should only get them as a luxury item.
Personally my local butcher does 5lb of standard beef mince for £5 and does 3 whole barn raised chickens for £10.
Wish I had your butcherSlimming World at target0 -
Mine gives the following that I can remember:
6 drumsticks for £1.50 (varies from FR to corn fed)
Chicken supremes £2.50
Corn fed chickens £5
Tray of beef mince (A5 paper size) for around £5 to £6
Chicken legs are a good buy if you are happy to use thigh meat rather than breast and they joint easily (or the butcher will)0 -
can be quite reasonable depending on how much your butcher.
depends what you buy and what the butcher you go to does offer wise. and is well worth seeing if their are any markets about.
the butcher i go to isnt too badly priced. i got about a kilogram of mince beef for just under £7 which i made into 10 portions of spag bol to be defrosted and added to pasta. or could be added into lasagna or even add more gravy and mash on top.
the butcher i go to does packs of stuff, trays at 1.99 each or 3 for £5 on drumsticks, thighs, 3 sausages in a pack, steak, chicken breast, pork belly slices, 4 koftas in a pack (spicyish lamb burger) and so on. some coated in spices, some not. the chicken breasts are quite big and could get 2 to 4 portions, about 2 portions from beef steak pack.
i find myself it well worth going in and asking/seeing what they got and working out what best for you. esp bulk buying/cooking enough for several meals.0 -

I can get the below for £15 from my local butchers. He does different meat each week, but always the same deal - 3 for £5, 2 for £5. I was dubious at first because it's so cheap compared to supermarkets, however he has 5 star rating on the food standards website and he has been going for 50 years.
3 for £5
6 plain / chinese / italian chicken drumsticks
4 minted lamb burgers
8 pork and apple sausages
(other options include 500g beef mince, 4 chicken thighs, beef burgers)
2 for £5
2 chicken breast fillets
4 pork loin chops
(other options include diced beef / pork, stewing beef, 750g beef mince, 4 lamb cutlets)
Joint of meat or large chicken (1.2kg) - £50
