I need a new laptop and I don't have a clue what to get i need something with at least 6GB of RAM and a 1 TB hard drive. I take lots of photo's and like to edit them to ideally something with at least an i3 processor I like to multi task on my computer so i could have 4 internet pages open and a word doc and would like it not to freeze like my old desktop did until it died. I don't know where has the best deals or if anyone can point me in the direction of somewhere that can build one to spec.
Any help much appreciated.
thanks

I got-
Dell Inspiron 15R 5520
3rd gen i5
6GB RAM
1TB HDD
£390 ish on a deal pointed out on here in Jan.
Happy with it!
To be honest i3's with those specs should be easy to find. Depends how much you wanna spend though.
Amazon, eBuyer, those are good places to look.
For starters-

Whats your budget?
6gb overkill for just editing photos - I have 4gb in my dev machine at work running wind server 2008 r2, several SQL server database, dreamweaver, photoshop and chrome tabs, and it barely gets over 3gb
Also, you've missed off one crucial spec - screen res. If it is for editing photos, presumably while out and about, you'll want at least a 1440x900 screen, probably 1920x1080/1200 with a matte finish, editing high res photos on a 1366x768 screen with photoshop (which takes up enough screen space as it is) will be a nightmare.0 -
I bought one of these recently http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/lenovo-g580-15-6-laptop-blue-19430678-pdt.html
don't forget cashback if getting oneI started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

Thats the one I was going to recommend if budget was around £350, looks pretty decent for the price. Only concern would be the screen, but at under £400 you can't be that fussy.0
