Time for an update: I've just checked my statements for the month and I've paid a total of [cue drumroll].........

    ......£304.94 interest

So that's £40.76 (12%) less than last month. Still an extortionate amount but at least it's a start. 38% left to go! :D

I'm off to update me siggy now ;)

    Hello!!

I've not got much to update at the moment but I have been arranging and preparing so that when I come back from holiday next Sat (9th June) I can push to start paying things off quicker and go on a mission - for the first time ever I've started paying more than my minimum payment onto my credit card which I'm really pleased about.

I've just moved £60 from my paypal account which should go into my bank while I'm away and I can use that to put towards the credit card I reckon. That one is my main challenge.

I did my AQA second test on Wednesday night and went on a mission to get all my questions done before I went away tonight - I did them last night and got an e-mail this morning to say that I had passed!!!! :j :j :j

I think I'm aiming to have enough paid into my bank at the beginning of the month to pay my credit card £60 which is the minimum payment at the minute and my loan payment - anything else is an added bonus.

Also my sister has loads of named clothes that she brought from a retailer she knows and she said if I sell them on Ebay I can have half the profit - start doing that when I get back. Hopefully next month I might have more to report.

Well done Dr Hook :T :T :T looks like your on the way already.

Finished my first 30 questions last night and got an email from my SR to say that my review would be done by close of play Monday, hopefully sooner. Fingers crossed - I'm feeling nervous again.

Seems to be taking me a long time to answer questions though - I'm currently on about £3/hr  Hopefully I'll get quicker in time.

    Hi

Just thought I would do a quick update to celebrate the fact that I have paid my first debt off :j

Although it's probably one of the only ones that doesn't have any interest on it but still - means I can pay off another of my debts to my mum now.

Other than that I have now started officially working for AQA about 3 days ago but haven't really had a chance to sit down and do a lot of questions. I'm also waiting on one of my friends getting me a job in a pub nearby as it's a cash in hand job and I should get about £200 a month for it.
  • Hi Boo sounds like everything is going really well.

I've heard doing barwork although hard work can be a sort of social life repacement that is still in a jovial social atmosphere but being paid for it as well. Hope it goes well.

I'm jealous of your wireless laptop. :( but I've just sold a book on amazon for £10 (bought for a £1) :j

    Hi

another update - had to take the pressure of reducing the interest accumulating debts for the moment as O2 were pestering me to pay up asap. We came to an agreement of £57.41 a week which is a lot but I get paid weekly so I have to do it and at least it's the most worrying debt off my back. The others are fairly relaxed as long as they get their minimum payment each month.

On the other hand saying that for the first time in a long time I was able to pay more than my minimum payment on my credit card this month - I was very chuffed!!

Using AQA to try and make a lot of money and investing in a wireless router now as I need to get connected properly at home.
