Claiming JSA but going on holiday

I assume you have to tell the jobcentre if you are leaving the country when you are supposed to be signing on. Has anyone ever had experience of this and knows exactly what happens?

I found myself out of work once (after 18 years solid employment). I had prebooked a holiday abroad before I was out of work. I told the Job Centre about this holiday when signing on and was told that I'd have to sign off before I went and sign back on when I came back.
Luckily I found work quite quickly, so never had to go through with that scenario.
A more informed person might keep stumb and play around it ...0 -

Your claim won't continue if you are going abroad on holiday.
Your claim would continue if your holiday was in UK.

You are allowed ten days holiday and can keep your claim going, but not if you are going abroad.
If you are going abroad, you have to sign off before you go and then on again when you return.(AKA HRH_MUngo)
