Ticket refund for cancelled event

Hi,

I bought tickets for the designer wedding show in January through SeeTickets.com, around a week later the organisers went into administration.

The last response I had from see tickets was over a month ago saying:

As stated to you, this company has gone into liquidation and is now controlled by liquidator. We are currently waiting to hear from them as to when we will receive our money back, so that we can then refund customers.

We will contact you once we have this information.

What are my rights in getting my money back? Any advice would be welcome, as the value of the goods was under £100 I don't think I can do a chargeback?

Thanks
Adam

Of course you can...... Same for both debit & credit cards.

    When was the event for?
Usual rule is chargeback day after event (no paperwork). Unless you have got proof it is not going ahead, then with paperwork it can be done sooner.

    Thanks!

The event was due to happen on 8-10th February. They announced the cancellation on 15th January or thereabouts. We have emails from the ticket agency saying the event was canceled. They don't appear to be very helpful given they are such a large ticket company. I'll try the chargeback route then if they are not helpful when I speak to them

Surely your contract is with Seetickets, who have not gone bust?? (So a back up plan would be a letter before action.)

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

See tickets are a member of star.

Star members promise to refund if the event is cancelled. If they refuse to refund tell them you will be complaining to star. They should enforce the refund.

Given its nearly a month and they have not refunded. I would go via the chargeback route now.
Only 120 days to action one from 08/02.
