Contacting bank

When contacting the banks to find out the total charges over the last 6 years would I be able to send them a secure message through their site or is it better to be done via letter.

Also e.g. with Barclays I have two accounts with them, do i need to contact them seperately for each account or can I send one message/letter requesting the total of charges?

I would send it by letter recorded delivery that way you have proof of postage and if they dont send the information in time you have evidence. I think if you have more than one account you are requesting statements for you will need to send payment for each.

On the natwest thread which is my bank someone posted a note saying they do not respond to emails - so maybe this might apply to other banks

I think it would be better sending two seperate letters anyway as lately the banks have a habit of not receiving things!!

Thanks. Are there any templates for requesting copy of the bank charges?

Try this letter on the first page requesting list of bank charges
