I paid for it directly through paypal, you are covered through them rather than ebay. Anyway yes he has asked me to cancel transaction, I told him I have to receive the thing 1st. Seems OK, (at the moment) he has been responsive to all the emails I've sent thus far. Feedback is good, so hopefully things should be OK.
