Faulty Intallation - 1 year on

Hi
I had a wood burning stove installed around 10 months ago. We had a new chimney breast built as part of the Intallation. All was well for the first 8 months then we started to notice the chimney breast (which is built from fireproof plasterboard) is making a noise a a bit like a squeaky floorboard. We have called the shop which is a small independent shop - they said they would send someone round to inspect. That was 4 weeks ago and despite a few calls they cannot give us a date for inspection.
My question is do I have any consumer rights which would cover the cost of repair 8 months after installation? I imagine it might be fairly expensive to fix! The fireplace cost £4,000 and stupidly I did not ask about guarantees.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!
