3 Year old Gas bill - Advice please

Hello to you alll,
In December 2004 our gas boiler gave up the ghost.
We asked British Gas to install another one for us at a cost of around £2,000.
At the time they had a scheme whereby if you used their services you would recieve £200 cash back for your old boiler.
When the bill arrived a couple of weeks later the cash back was not listed.
I contacted British Gas and asked for an updated bill showing the discount.
I heard nothing.
This weekend, May 5 2007, I recieved a bill for £2000, still without the discount.
Does anyone have any advice as to how I should proceed with this?
I presume that I am still liable even though the bill has taken two and a half years to reach me!

Welcome to the Forum.
Yes you are still liable; on what grounds would you think you were not?
Look at it as if you have all the interest on £2,000 for 2.5 years - effectively a further discount of £200. So you have gained and BG lost out.0 -
Ask for time to pay, giving you even more free interest, and of course insist on the original £200 cashback.
Keep copies of correspondence should it go to law.0
