Holiday while signing on JSA

Hi All
Hope everyone is well.
I was in work up to three weeks ago when out of the blue, I along with two others were made redundant from our work due to things been very quiet.
I now sign on every fortnight on a Monday morning.
When I was working we booked a family holiday to Devon from the 30th March to the 6th April.
I would like to know the following please...

I am due to sign on the 1st of April which is a bank holiday. What happens when your signing on date is on a bank holiday? Do you just skip that signing on then go in two week later again?

Also would my benefit be affected with us going away for a week? Ive tried to read up on it but some people say it does and some say it doesn't.

Thanks for any help, im very grateful

It's a little old but this thread may help with the bank holiday problem. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3903395

    thanks for the Jay
Well reading that thread I will get my JSA money one way or another. It looks like you are excused from signing on on a bank holiday and then you just go in again two weeks later.

I've just started signing on and was told yesterday that I won't need to sign on 1st April ( my usual day) it won't be until 2 weeks later on the 15th.

You're allowed a couple of weeks holiday a year on JSA, but I wouldn't mention you going unless you have to.
There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.
