I bought a nexus 4 in Jan but my mic has gone. It seems to work when on loud speaker, but only work half the time when not. I tried to navigate google play store but just kept coming up with threads about their help center.
Who do I contact about the fault? What can I expect them to say?
Being only 2 months old surely I can request a replacement?
Any advice/experience with google would be great
Seems to be a common fault

Google Play are based in Ireland (as far as I know). So Irish consumer legislation will likely apply. However this should be fairly similar to UK legislation (which all follow or exceed European requirements).
Have you tried raising a help ticket or similar? (I can't access the Play store here at work so can't see what it is called). Or emailing Google?0 -
You can call Google Play Device Support on 0800 328 6081 and hit (I believe) option 3 which is for technical support. They will listen to your query and probably put you though to the RMA department.0
