Edinburgh stag activity - golf

Anyone recommend a course near to the city that would entertain 7 gentlemen (mid 30s, not kids) for a day of golf with equipment hire?

..I've seen various stag event sites offer things but they're typically very expensive or hard to get information from without booking the whole weekend with them.

We've already got flights/accommodation sorted - just want to play some golf on the saturday.

This is for late June btw.

What transport will you have to get you to the course?

Also note there's a number of courses within the city limits that could accommodate you. Don't know about club hire for you, though.

Minibus most likely...don't want to go too far out of town ideally though.

Have a look at Craigentinny Golf Course. It is to the North East of the City near the coast. It is a public owned course open to non members.

Hi. Sorry if I am a bit late on this.
I am a edinburgh local but just getting into golf.
Depends on the amount of money you want to spend. Braid hills has a great reputation and is one of a few council operated courses, google Edinburgh lesuire golf for there courses.
The city centre course is prestonfield but you have plenty around depending on travelling distance. The east coast has the exceptional courses such as Gullane etc seach east lothian golf coast.
Mse wise has to be edinburgh lesuire courses.
