Is there a 'lighter' version of MSE forums?

I sometimes access the forum on a slower connection, and was wondering if there is an 'archive' style to view the forum i.e. no colourful formats.

I know most VB forums have an archive style view, so does MSE have something similar?

If there is I'm not aware of it (although it could be quite useful). How slow is slow? I sometimes have to use GPRS and while MSE along with everything else is grindingly slow it does eventually load OK.

That link just takes me back to the forum index.

There's an option in Edit Options to untick Show Images. This might help speed things up.

Exactly. It did work a long while ago, but honestly haven't tried for years.
