Amazon Stock Clearance Sale Bargains Thread

I like Amazon, and was preparing a list of purchases, but the "stock clearance" promotion was barely underway when Amazon hiked the prices on some of the items, so I didn't proceed.

It's a shame they did that, because Amazon is great for ideas and reviews, but it won't be them getting the sale!

Agreed, I don't like these kind of tactics, shame on Amazon, I thought they were above this sort of shady marketing.

Just checked my order....and I cant change it, grrrr.

2 books were out of stock, taking it to £13. I've just checked and they have charged me £9.83 postage for the remaining 13 books, hardly a bargain now...! So instead of costing me £15 its costing £22....not happy

Reject the delivery when it arrives, and give Amazon a ring tomorrow and tell them what has happened, they'll tell you not to accept the parcel and this way you will get a full refund.

Unfortunately as its being delivered to my workplace, I don't get a chance to do that as the security guy will accept the parcel!

Interesting. I've just checked my order to find that two items are not on there (perhaps out of stock?) and the total has dropped from about £17.00 to £12.49 but as of yet i haven't been charged any postage. I'll keep checking over the next few days.

It's not gone up in price - it's just out of stock from Amazon direct now. When it goes out of stock, they show the next lowest price from their sellers - in this case from 'ArgosyToys'.
