My son is off to Uni in September. I have used 3 different student repayment calculators and got 3 quite different answers. Which is the correct one to go by?
£9000 tuition fees, £7675 for studying in London and 3 year course.
Assume starting salary £25K
http://www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/student-loan-repayment-calculator.
It says Total Repayments £78,777
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/students/student-finance-calculator
It says What you Repay £40,570
http://www.studentfinance.direct.gov.uk/scheme/dgv/pws/repayment-calculator.html
It says Total Amount Repaid £159,899
Can anyone shed any light please?

I think they all use different prospective salaries for the the graduate's future career.0

Yep, the second implies he won't fully repay the debt and it will be written off after x amount of years; the third implies a high career progression and increased earnings, though the ultimate figure seems off, especially as he will have circa 50k of student loans to begin with. The first seems reasonable.
With the second the annual repayments finish with paying back over 11k a year.0
