Please help us raise money for charity by sponsoring us to run London Marathon

On 21/04/2013, my husband and I will be running in the London Marathon in order to raise money for World Cancer Research Fund and Dogs Trust. Although it will be a massive challenge for us to complete the race, we will be especially motivated by the excitement of knowing that it will benefit such worthy causes.

We are very excited to be taking part in such a prestigious event and feel with hard work and dedication we can do it, but we need your help……don't worry though you won't have to run!!

I have agreed to raise a minimum of £1,500 in sponsorship for Dogs Trust before the event and my Husband has agreed to raise a minimum of £2,000 for WCRF. Therefore, we would greatly appreciate any contribution possible that will help us to achieve our targets.

I have always loved dogs and my Labrador Trigger means the world to me. Sadly, not all dogs are lucky enough to have caring owners like Trigger and that is why I have decided to complete the London Marathon and raise money for Dogs Trust. Dogs Trust is the largest dog welfare charity in the UK. Their mission is to bring about the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.

My Husband has been personally affected by cancer and felt powerless in the face of this devastating disease. In May 2011 he lost his aunt Sue to a Brain tumour and as you can imagine this has had a massive impact on his entire family. He now wants to do everything he can to help raise awareness of cancer and raise money for the WCRF, so they can continue to help save lives. World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK) is part of a global network of charities that are committed to preventing cancer.
