Server timed out, refilled form, you guessed it.....

Hi,

Filling out online application for Halifax Clarity, got all the way through to the final button press, then got a server timed out error and redirected to home page.

Refilled application, got all the way through this time, to be told application refused as I had applied within 30 days of a previous application.

No emails from Halifax, What now? Ringing them just fills me with dread.

Arghhhhhh.

If you were successful, then fairly quickly you'll receive a form to sign in the post. However, the only way to be sure is to call them, unfortunately.

If you got through to the end of the application and the terms and conditions were displayed that should be a successful application and you should actually receive your card in about 7-10 days.

Probably worth giving them a quick ring tho just for peace of mind thats its gone through successfully.

Having the Terms & Conditions displayed does not mean acceptance...

Then why would they show you the terms and conditions for a card you had been refused for?

So that you know what you're signing up for? Pretty much every card I've ever applied for has done the same...

For a definitive answer you need to ring them.

With the application on the halifax website you get the terms and conditions with a tick box to say you agree to the terms and are happy to accept the card. Once that page has been displayed its normally the end of a successful application.

I would still just give them a quick ring just to make sure its showing for you on their systems :)

Also my clarity took a lot longer than 7 to 10 days, I think it was over three weeks from applying to getting both card and pin.

So every card you've been refused has given you Ts&Cs to read and sign?
