Credit card payment troubles

Ok, so basically i have two credit cards i am currently paying minimum payment on, with out explaining too deeply into why i have these credit cards, i was in a relationship and moved into a new place with my partner, they started using my credit card, obviously being loved up and not knowing that it was the wrong thing to do, before i knew it the credit cards were maxed out and i was left alone to pay them off.
i have been paying them off no problem but its starting to get a little hard no, i have no money left over when i get paid, have no life outside of work and just work to pay off debts and there seems to be no end in sight. what i am trying to figure out is would it be better for me to let these go to a debt agency and let the payment get lowered ( i know that is a very stupid idea but i cant see any other way out ) i have no life and its really starting to get me down.

Before even considering something like you suggested, I would get in touch first with a debt charity like Payplan, nationaldebtline or your local citizen advise bureau, they will deal with your creditors directly and negotiate a lower repayment plan....

Before you do what has been suggested, which will trash your credit record, suggest you post a statement of affairs on the debt free board.
