Ex husband cashed joint name cheque

We had a refund from a PPI claim and the company sent a joint cheque to my ex husband who somehow managed to deposit into his own single account and he is saying he is not giving me my half. Is there anything I can do about it?

You could try sueing him for it!
Apart from that nothing else. For everthing else there's mastercard.
For clampers there's Barclaycard.0 -
You could try making a complaint to ex-husband's bank. Have a read of the section about "Cheque Conversion" on this page: http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/technical_notes/disputed-transactions.htm#5
There is no guarantee of sucess though and it would be a long, drawn out process.
Are you actually entitled to half of the money? I.E. did you pay half the premiums yourself?
Are you financially seperated?
How much was the cheque for?0
