Uninsured losses

Hi,

I was involved in an accident a couple of weeks ago and my car has been written off. The other driver has accepted full liability and I've had the money for my car. But I've incurred about £85 worth if charges for the excess waiver on the courtesy hire car and parking as I have a permit which I couldn't use with the hire car.

I'm not injured or anything but have had forms from a solicitors to fill in for any uninsured losses. Is it worth me trying to claim this money back?

Thanks!

Yep. Watch out for dodgy companies trying to get you to claim for stuff you have not lost out on or injuries you dont have.

  • You'll have a receipt for the CDW on the hire car, but if you don't have proof of paying parking costs the insurers on the other side will probably be a pain in the backside.

Fill out the forms and state anything you have lost and attach good quality photocopies of any paperwork to prove the losses.
