My PC Clock is always wrong

Hi

I have a laptop with a dead CR2016 in it but the only similar batteries I have in the house at the moment are CR2032 or CR2025. Can these definately be used as a replacement for the CR2016?

The battery doesn't have to fit any particular size holder and looking at this page I don't think the higher capacity should be a problem but there is a very slight difference in Nominal Discharge Current. Does that matter at all?

Can someone reassure me before I go ahead?

No. As I said, the 2032 is twice as thick as the 2016, it'w on't fit. And the 2025 is 2.5mm instead of 1.6mm, so it won't fit either.

Note that if the two letters are not CR, that will be ok as well, as long as it's 2016.

Sorry! Strike that! You don't have a battery holder? So the thickness doesn't matter? In which case, YES, a 2025 or 2032 will do the trick. They are all lithium 3V batteries. Since it's got higher capacity, it will even last longer. Sorry for the confusion, strike my last two posts, and sorry for spamming!
