Contaminated Prawns

I have just receved a phone call from a Dave Billings from the Food Standards Agency warning me of contaminated supermarket prawns in my local area. I was told to throw away any prawns I had purchased and not buy any more as there was a serious contamination issue. There have been fatalities. It will be all over the news soon. I'm supposed to tell all my neighbours etc etc
Like I believed a word of it. After all, why would the FSA phone me of all people?:)
But why? Why has somebody gone to all that trouble? Does any body have the slightest clue?

Just check to see if Dave Billings is hanging around your dustbins. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0

So which area are you in then?
If they really wanted to contact you, they could trace your details via a loyalty card, but seems a bit fishy (ho ho): and the standard response would be, take them back to shop for a refund.
Have they contacted anyone for horse burgers? I don't think so. Is it a mate that knows you have bought prawns winding you up?0 -

Good idea  I believe all the red wine in the immediate postcode may have been contaminated - leave it outside your front door and someone will be along and give you a (fake) receipt, confirming collection.

Out of Area.
I'm immediately suspicious of calls that come up as 'Out of Area' anyway, as they're usually from an Indian sounding person trying to persuade me that my PC is sending error messages all over the net.... Is it a mate that knows you have bought prawns winding you up?
Have you seen the price of prawns these days? Ages since I've bought any.
I've considered the possibility of a prank call. But Dave sounded very professional. Too professional for the FSA if you ask me.0 -
That'll the the seahorses. Only a matter of time before that was uncovered too.0

Sounds a fishy tale.............0

I was once phoned by the council and asked what meat I'd bought six weeks' previously and from where. Predictably I had no idea about either question. Turns out the complaint I'd been to the doctor with was campylobacter and the doctor had notified the council. Trouble was the doctor had neglected to inform me and as a consequence I was sat on the toilet for three days non the wiser.0
