I put a bra in the wash, along with other stuff, and the underwire has come out!
How do ii get it out of the machine? I can hear it when the maching is washing, but it's not in the drum.
Any ideas?

Make and model would help (the washing machine, not the bra). Open the drain hatch access, drain any residual water out (the manual will tell you how) and then clean the pump impeller/filter-the wire may have made it's way through to there. if it's trapped between the inner and outer drums then you'll probably need a white goods enginer to remove it.
You're supposed to put them in a little bag to prevent this...No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
When this happened to me I found the underwire was still stuck in one of the holes in the drum, I couldn't see it but when I ran my hand around I found the tip of the end of it and managed to pull it out with pliers. The only reason I checked like this was because I could hear it scraping when I turned the drum.0

If you open the door and put your head inside using a strong torch through the perforations you will more likley be able to see where it is , if you are competent then you can remove and replace the door rubber to get at it if its at the front or take the back off and remove the heater element to get at it with some long pliers , which is pretty much what a white goods engineer will do anyway0

Hi guys, sorry for not updating.
Thanks for all the replies, i managed to find it, it was stuck in one of the holes0 -
I just paid a repairman £48 to find my missing underwire - I knew it was in there and ignored it for a few weeks but it was making terrible noises latterly and I was scared to use it in case I knackered it. The machine only 8 months old so I thought it was worth paying for a repair... a bit embarrassing as it was a BIG underwire
, but no need to be really as the guy said it happens ALL the time!

Damned underwires ! pesky critters when they get stuck, me and my father in law used to remove at least one a week when we were doing washer repairs.
They often got stuck in the element, but the ones that get stuck in the casing are a nightmare, have known them to go through the outer drum as well completely knackering the washer up.
Best thing for smalls, put them inside a pillowcase and wash everything in there, or get one of the net bags as suggested above and wash inside there. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0
