Well I opened my account this morning, fingers crossed they don't mess up my transfer. Got to finish doing the transfer form tonight now I have the account number for the new account. My lloyds account doesn't mature till the 4th so have marked the bit on the form not to transfer until any notice period etc so hope Santander and lloyds take note of that as 180 days of interest penalty if they transfer too soon!MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0

The isa transfer process has changed slightly. In scheme providers now used an electronic transfer process which is a lot faster. I did a transfer from Lloyds to Santander a few weeks ago and the funds were recieved within 5 days.0

I have just registered my Santander 2.5% ISA online today, I am waiting on my Halifax ISA being transferred to the new Santander ISA having posted off the transfer forms.
My current account is with Halifax and I will keep all that there, to fund my new Santander ISA in the new tax year, does anyone know if I can transfer in from my Halifax Current Account ok by setting up the new Stantander ISA details sort code, account number to fund the Santander ISA from my Halifax current account?
Thanks in advance.0 -

It certainly is faster, or an be! I applied to open and transfer in a fixed term ISA that was to end in 15 March. The transfer application was obviously 'sent' beforehand ready for maturity on 15th. I got notification that it was complete the next day and postal confirmation a couple days later. Yet to get postal confirmation from from where the funds came, but know from a phone call they did the transfer on the maturity date. The isa transfer process has changed slightly. It seems my ISA was transferred on the 27th, 7 days after I sent off the form.
Now I have no idea how to close the account with my old provider Intelligent Finance, which I will no longer be using. They closed my ISA but I have a £0 balance savings account with them still. Anyone know how to close their account? Guessing I have to call them.0 -
I have a Flexible Cash ISA with Santander which has been running for a year. Today I have received a letter saying the current interest rate on your cash ISA includes a bonus which will end shortly.
From 9'th June 2013 you will receive the new interest rates detailed in the table below.
Current balance tiers: £1+ 2%, £8.5k + 2.5%, £14k + 2.75%
New balance tiers: £1+ 0.5%, £10k + 1.5%, £25k + 2.0%...

Have a look at Santander's current offerings to see if they will suit. It will depend how much you have in the Flexible ISA to some extent. If between £1- £13,999 you would be best transferring now to one of the Sandander offerings. Look on MSE at the ISAs you could transfer to including fixed rates.0 -

You can get 2.8% with Santander, fixed for two years (3% if you have a 123 account). But you will lose the flexibility of easy access.0
