Parked in disabled bay

Hi all
On Friday last week my wife and others visited Looe in Cornwall they parked in the harbor car park and as my wife is disabled the car was parked in a disabled bay with the blue badge clearly visible. On return a parking charge notice for £60 was attached to windscreen when the issuer was asked why he placed the ticked on the car he said "obviously you have never parked in a private car before then" the signs were then checked and sure enough near the bottom after all the usual stuff about parking in a disabled bay and having a valid tax disc badge etc there was the short paragraph about paying. The error was explained to the issuer and an offer to pay the full amount as per the terms of business was made and promptly refused. This morning Monday the 4th I made a call to the company to explain the situation and that we have offered to pay the cost of 34 mins parking as per the ticket at the advertised rate plus extra to compensate the company for loss of revenue a total of £5. This brought a return call from a young man who became very belligerent when it was brought to his attention that we have offered more than enough payment to meet the agreed parking contract plus a fair amount to compensate for any loss. To this effect a postal order for £5 was sent to the company this morning along with a letter explaining the circumstances and that the parking contract has been paid in full and that the no further contact from the company its partners or agents should be made . As this is a matter between a private contractor and its client can they take any further action?

They could try and take you to court but as soon as you provide the evidence that you attempted to pay and make good their loses the judge would award in your favour.
Just ignore them now.All aboard the Gus Bus !0 -

They could try but they'd lose if they ever tried a small claim. And you were not their client - you were only a customer of the LANDOWNER not a third party scammer with permission to put some signs up.
However, you could take action against them because this is a disability law breach. As soon as they 'knew or should have known' about the disability then they cannot harass you over the matter.
Who is the PPC? As well as breaking the law they have breached the BPA Code of Practice as well so you can win a POPLA appeal fairly easily and cost them money to fund the appeal too. Assuming they are in the AOS scheme...if they are not you should never have responded at all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
