Fred or Fredrick?

I was never christened so I cannot say my christian name is Fredrick but Fredrick is what is on my birth certificate, however I am normally called Fred.

Will it matter whether I apply for car insurance as Fred or Fredrick?

p.s

Fredrick isn't really my name but my real name can be abbreviated as above.
Getting forgetful, if you think I've asked this before I probably have. :rotfl:

Probably best if your car documents all match.

V5C, driving licence, finance and insurance.

Also worth considering what would happen in the event of a claim payment. Insurers would issue a cheque in the name of the policyholder - would your bank accept that.

Fredrick really is your name, even if you chose to use the diminutive form most the time.

Like many British my name has a long and a short form, for anything formal like banks, insurance, driving license etc I use the long form and for day to day life I use the short form.

Whilst it is unlikely to cause any problems it would be sensible to just ensure your driving license, the cars V5c log book and insurance are all in the same version to prevent any possible queries/ delays

You could, given I'm such a fashionista, on here I am more often II though - though I would dispute that I've ever been second to anyone

Is it true that Mrs InsideInsurance calls you "Just-In"? :p
All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.

Not the one I was thinking but I like what you've done there.

Maybe if he has a mistress he takes to a Hotel she may sign in as Ms Liberty Mutual Insurance
