have to attend 2 appeals??? whats hapning?

On 8th may I was informed by the appeals section for incapacity benefit that I will have to attend two appeals. This is the first that I have heard of this today. The first appeal which is for income support is on the 10th may. The second appeal for which a date has not yet been set is currently being prepared and will happen within the next few weeks. They said that my entitlement for incapacity benefit comes from my entitlement to income support and that it is normal procedure for someone in my position to have two appeals to deal with. Is this really the case? suffering froma range of problems (illnesses) this is scaring me to death.

also has anyone here actuactually attened a tribunal? can someone help me with any advice regards the appeal procedure? it is the end of this week. thank you.

All I can suggest is go straight to your local Citizens Advice Bureau or Welfare Rights Office tomorrow, taking any paperwork you have with you. Hope all goes well for you.
