    2) If he has not protected the deposit you have paid, a S21 Notice is invalid. The fact that you have not paid the full deposit changes nothing - you have paid a deposit, just less than he asked for. It should be protected.

We don't actually know if the deposit is protected or not, but presumably if it hasn't the LL could simply return what has been paid so far and then can issue a valid S21.

His rent is fully up to date and his house well looked after so am sure there are worse tenants out there.

I'm sure this is a great comfort to your most accommodating landlord.

I came on here to ask for advice not an assessment of my person

I think you'll find that posters have given you facts about your situation, not passed judgement. Facts which should be very useful to you if you pay attention to them, rather than getting all defensive.

I think the return of the deposit has been mentioned.

The OP is at liberty to interrogate all three of the deposit-protection schemes (DPS, TDS and MyDeposits) to find out if it's been registered or not. That's the first thing I would do under the circs.

...we can be evicted immediately for non payment of bond by set date. Its been in his holding account waiting for the other hald which we habe not yet paid
I interpreted that as saying the LL is waiting for the full deposit to be received before protecting it. But I may be wrong.

No the bond i have paid so fat is not in a scheme the ll has told me this although i dont intend to use this against him. I will fully undeestand should he serve a sectiin 21 and have told him this. What i wanted to know was if he could bypass the section 21 and evict us immediately if it remains unpaid next minth. We are looking for somewhere else to live that is cheaper as i wouldnt want ro go through this again or be a problem to amyone else. Ive just made some bad money managent decisions buy have no intention of not paying the rent or leaving our ll out of pocket. I do feel a couple of people have been judgmental. Me not paying the bond admittedly doesnt make me the model tennant but i already know that but that doesnt mean i dont need time to find elseqhere to live. Thankyou to those who have helped with my question

    No he can't.

He must go through the correct process to evict you and this isn't quick.
