To make BBC iPlayer work, you'll not only need the iplayer app but also an application as the previous poster said the bbc media player application. This allows you to watch iplayer on your tablet. It has nothing to do with installing flash. Hope this helps.0 -
iPlayer is rubbish , thousands of bad reviews on Google Play. Try accessing the BBC iPlayer website in your browser . Click on settings and put a tick in " request desktop site !0

Works great on my iPad & mini - and the regular updates add stellar enhancements. It must be an android thing.0

Really? I've got a Samsung Tab 7.0 running jelly bean and bbc iplayer runs smoothly on my tablet, never had a problem with the app and I've always kept it updated.0 -

It shouldn't play via the web browser at all. It should come up with the official bbc iplayer application. Maybe you should go to the playstore and download the official bbc iplayer app.0 -

I've got the iplayer and the BBC media app installed and when opening either it asks what browser to use (I've got a couple installed) and goes to their web based iplayer..no idea why but not that bothered.
