paypal fee question

As I understand paypal fee is about 3.4% + 20p. What if I sell something less than 20p, will this fee still to be taken from my account?

thanks, although I have seen lots of ebay sellers selling ebooks for 1p. How can anyone profit than that? Every 1p sold, 20p is deducted

Actually they don't worry about the cost as they are usually:

    a) buying feedback

    b) selling the buyer's email addresses and eBay ID for £1-5 to 'phishers'

    c) doing other unsavory things with buyer's details...

Just to clarify paypal do not take more in fees than is received. So for a payment of 1p paypal can only take 1p in fees.
